Situated on the Eastern end of the Lakes the small fishing port of Lakes
Entrance has a spectacular view of the man made
entrance from Jemmy's Point. Access
the beach to swim, kayak, sail or fish or enjoy the forest surrounds with
walking and cycling trails. A walk or boat trip to the entrance often
provides a chance to watch the seals and or dolphins. The Buchan Caves with
their stunning limestone stalactites and stalagmites are close by, as are
some small wineries. Raymond Island just forty minutes away, it is a great
place to see Koalas in the wild as the trees are not very tall and there are
many Koalas on the Island.
